Police Station Closed, Collision Reporting Hours

To further assist in preventing the transmission of COVID-19, the Guelph Police Service station located at 15 Wyndham Street South is now closed for non-emergency services until further notice. In order to best protect our community and our members, please refrain from attending the station in person unless you have an emergency situation that cannot be dealt with over the phone at 519-824-1212.

Please also consider online reporting through www.GuelphPolice.ca.

The following incidents qualify for Online Reports:

  • Damage or mischief to a vehicle (other than by a collision and under $5,000)
  • Damage or mischief to property (under $5,000)
  • Lost or stolen drivers licences
  • Lost property (under $5,000)
  • Stolen licence plates
  • Theft (under $5,000)
  • Theft from vehicle (under $5,000)
  • Your email address and contact information
  • The incident address
  • A drivers licence, ownership, and insurance information (if applicable)
  • Damage to property (signs, fences, etc)
  • Injuries
  • Total damage of the vehicles appear to be at least $2,000
  • Criminal activity (impaired driving, stolen vehicles, assault)
  • Damage to property
  • Government vehicles, limousines, buses
  • Hit and run where the suspect vehicle is known and still in the area of the collision
  • Injury or death
  • Pedestrians or cyclists
  • Vehicles requiring tow trucks
  • Vehicles transporting dangerous goods
  • When an involved vehicle is registered from outside the City of Guelph Police Service

Once you've submitted your report, you will receive a temporary reference number. We will try to have your submission reviewed by an officer within 72 hours. When we've assigned an officer to review your report, we'll send you an official occurrence number.

We understand that Freedom Of Information and Record Check requests are impacted by this closing, but we have online systems for both of these requests which can be accessed at the following:

Collision Reporting Hours 

 The operational hours of the Collision Reporting Centre located at 160 Clair Road West in the City of Guelph is now Monday-Friday 10am-6pm until further notice. There is no longer service available on weekends.

If you have been involved in a collision and wish to report the accident, please visit the Collision Reporting Centre (Accident Support Services).

Please bring your driver's licence, vehicle ownership and insurance, as well as the involved vehicle so photos of any damage can be taken.

It is the law in Ontario to report all collisions to the Police right away that involve the following:
